Intermediate Accountant

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Intermediate Accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Public Practice to join our friendly and professional team in Penrith.

At Martin & White Accountants & Business Advisors, we work closely with individuals, SMEs, trusts, companies and self-managed super funds, helping our clients grow and protect their wealth. This role offers hands-on exposure to compliance, tax planning, and advisory work while being supported by experienced partners in a collaborative, family-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and lodgement of tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and SMSFs

• Preparation of financial statements and management reports

• Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS and PAYG obligations

• Assisting with tax planning strategies and business structuring advice

• Liaising with clients, ATO and other regulatory bodies

• Staying up to date with current tax legislation and compliance requirements

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Australian Public Practice

• CPA or CA qualified, or currently undertaking studies

• Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation

• Australian citizenship is required for this position

• Experience with accounting software (Access Handisoft products, Xero, MYOB or similar)

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
