Senior Tax Accountant

Pinnacle Taxation Services Penrith is a 3 Partner Accounting Firm located in the heart of Penrith providing a comprehensive range of services that encompass everything from Taxation & Accounting, Financial Planning, Superannuation, Insurance and Lending.

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team.

The Ideal candidate must be able to hit the ground running and have experience working with multi-entity & large organisations. You will also have an exceptional eye for detail, be self-motivated and can work as part of a team. 

About the Role

Reporting to the Manager or Partner, you will be responsible for the annual compliance work, plus client facing consultancy work for a portfolio of clients. Some of your key responsibilities will include;

• Preparation of Financial Statements & Tax Returns for Trusts, Companies, SMSF, Partnerships, and Individuals.

• Preparation of Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements, Payroll tax and Annual GST Returns.

• Prepare and present Tax Planning / Business Advisory (Asset Protection)

• Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) in relation to client’s tax returns, payment plans and other tax obligations for clients.

• Meeting workflow commitments and Income tax lodgement obligations.

• Reporting directly to the Partner and mentoring junior staff members  

The successful candidate will have the following 

• 5+ years’ experience in public practice 

• CA/CPA Qualification

• Excellent communication skills

• Team Player

• Strong Work Ethic

• Experience using MYOB Essentials, Accountright, Xero and Quickbooks

• Preferred but not essential experience and knowledge using Sage Handisoft & Supermate.
