Disability Support Worker (Casual)

Live and Learn Group are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join the team at their Day Program located in Penrith.

We are looking for individuals who possess the right empathy and ethic with suitable experience to work with our Individual Support clients.

We are looking for staff who have availability for DAY SHIFT, AFTERNOON SHIFT and SLEEPOVER SHIFT on weekdays and weekends.

To be successful in this role you must:

• be reliable and have a good work ethic
• have pride on providing personal care with dignity and respect
• have a happy and bubbly personality
• be able to build rapport easily with clients and co-workers
• have the ability to be flexible, strong and resilient in challenging situations

What You'll Do:

• provide daily living support and light household duties
• transporting participants to appointments and daily activities
• supporting participants with personal hygiene, self-care, shopping, general tasks and domestic duties
• assist individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities
• work withing clearly defined guidelines and follow procedures
• completing shift progress notes
