About the Role:
ETS holds the contracts to clear vegetation along Transmission lines in and around the Penrith to the Dapto area for Transgrid. We are currently seeking Full time Tree Workers/Arborists to join our Penrith team for the following positions:
Chipper Operators
Ground Crews (competent in felling trees from the ground)
Foliar Spray Crews
EWP Operators (EWP High Risk Work Licence required)
Tree Climbers
You’re safety-focused, physically fit, and love working outdoors. A positive, team-player attitude is essential. You’re confident with machinery and ready to take on all tree crew tasks, including ground works, chipper operation EWP work or using our specialised machines. These physically demanding positions may not be suitable for everyone.
Vegetation experience is a bonus, but we also welcome transferable skills from agriculture, labouring, construction or any other hands on industry.
Occasional away work may be required, with a generous Living Away from Home Allowance (LAHA) provided.

Requirements:
Previous experience in the tree industry (or labouring for experienced tradesmen)
Strong commitment to safety with a determined work approach
Physically fit to work in various outdoor conditions
Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug, and alcohol tests
Confident around machinery and willing to take on all roles in a tree crew, including chipper operation, ground clearing, foliar spraying, and cutting from an EWP
Skills & Qualifications:
White Card (General Construction Safety) – Essential
HR or MR Truck Licence – Essential
Chainsaw Operation Experience – Essential
Tree Climbing Experience - Highly desirable
EWP Licence – Preferred, not essential
Cert III in Arboriculture – Preferred, not essential
ESI Authorisation – Preferred
