Landscape Maintenance Apprentice

Maintenance Fitter – Day Shift | Penrith, NSW $50–$53 per hour + Overtime (1.5x after 38 hours) We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing site based in Penrith. This is a newly created role offering strong earning potential, consistent overtime, and the opportunity to take ownership of maintenance on-site. The Role 
<ul> <li>Day shift: 6:00am – 4:00pm Monday to Thursday</li> <li>Early finish Fridays (typically 2:30pm)</li> <li>Weekly pay cycle</li> <li>Daily overtime available, paid at 1.5x after 38 hours</li> </ul> Key Responsibilities <ul> <li>Preventative and breakdown maintenance (approx. 40/60 split)</li> <li>Fault finding, troubleshooting, and repair of plant machinery</li> <li>Monthly shutdown maintenance</li> <li>Supporting general site upkeep (gates, fences, infrastructure, etc.)</li> <li>Managing and organising spare parts as required</li> <li>Liaising with operators and coordinating external contractors when required</li> </ul> About the Site <ul> <li>Small to medium-sized manufacturing environment</li> <li>Semi-automated plant with older-style equipment</li> <li>Working with corrugated cardboard machinery and associated systems</li> <li>Autonomous role – you’ll often be the sole fitter on-site</li> <li>Hands-on, fast-paced environment that can get hot during summer months</li> </ul> What We’re Looking For <ul> <li>Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter</li> <li>Strong experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance</li> <li>Confident working independently and managing your own workload</li> <li>Solid fault-finding ability across mechanical systems</li> <li>Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics</li> <li>Strong communication skills – able to work closely with operators on the floor</li> </ul> Nice to Have <ul> <li>Basic machining and MIG welding experience</li> <li>Forklift, Working at Heights, or Confined Space tickets</li> </ul> Why Apply? <ul> <li>Competitive hourly rate above market</li> <li>Consistent overtime with strong weekly earning potential</li> <li>Autonomy and ownership of the site’s maintenance function</li> <li>Support from experienced operators and contractors during onboarding</li> <li>Stable, long-tenured team environment</li> </ul> If you're a self-sufficient Maintenance Fitter who enjoys taking ownership and working in a practical, hands-on environment, this is a strong opportunity to step into a key role.Apply now or reach out for a confidential discussion.
