Asphalt Operations Manager

About the role

Due to continued growth All Road Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Asphalt Operations Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Surfacing Director the Asphalt Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of our asphalt operations, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our projects.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage the planning, preparation, coordination and execution of all asphalt-related activities across our projects

2. Liasing with our suppliers and sub-contractors on a daily basis ordering material, transport, floats ensuring we are ready to hit the ground running

3. Preparing job sheets for our projects

4. Assisting with programming and scheduling works

5. Attending client meetings and scoping asphalt projects for quoting purposes

6. Assisting in preparing quotes and assisting with tender opportunities

7. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations and standards

8. Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors and other key stakeholders to identify and resolve operational issues

9. Assist in the development of our team of asphalt specialists and identify opportunities for improvement in our operations

10. Problem solving and trouble shooting

What we're looking for

1. Substantial experience 5+ years in the Asphalt industry

2. Comprehensive understanding of asphalt activities and project delivery / site experience

3. Technical knowledge and understanding of specifications and requirements

4. Ability to understand construction drawings

5. Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project

6. Excellent project management, problem-solving and decision-making skills

7. Great attention to detail

8. Strong leadership abilities and people skills

9. Demonstrated commitment to upholding health, safety and environmental standards

10. White Card certification is required for this position

11. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

12. A strong desire to deliver a good job and outcome for our customers

13. Self-motivated leader that can work independently

14. Someone that can get stuff done!!!

15. Australian work rights are required for this position
