About the Role

MACS Air Conditioning Services is seeking an experienced Commercial Air Conditioning Installer who takes genuine pride in their workmanship and approach to site delivery. This role is suited to someone who values quality, planning, and doing the job right the first time — not cutting corners to meet unrealistic timeframes.

You will work across a range of commercial projects, including offices, retail, light industrial and multi-unit developments, primarily throughout Sydney. You’ll be part of a professional team that values coordination, clear communication, and high installation standards. If you are frustrated by poor site planning, constant rework, or lack of support, this role offers structure, respect, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out high-quality commercial air conditioning installations in accordance with project documentation and specifications

  • Install split, multi-split, ducted, VRF/VRV and packaged systems as required

  • Read and interpret drawings, scopes of work, and installation plans

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve on-site installation challenges efficiently

  • Coordinate with supervisors, builders, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery

  • Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, codes, and company procedures

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite at all times

  • Provide guidance and support to apprentices, promoting best practice and safe work methods

  • Complete required documentation, checklists, and handover requirements

Skills & Experience
  • Trade qualified Air Conditioning Installer (Cert III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration)

  • Current ARCtick Licence

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial air conditioning installation

  • Strong understanding of commercial systems, pipework, ductwork, and plant installation

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills with clients, supervisors, and site personnel

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and well organised

  • Professional presentation and pride in workmanship
